In these supplementary lectures, important mathematical models of theoretical physics will be discussed, not only in Euclidean space, but on arbitrarily curved manifolds. The lack of Cartesian coordinates makes it necessary to understand the geometric core of the physical laws concerned. The coordinate-free formalism from differential geometry allows many laws and relationships to be formulated very elegantly. The following topics and models will be discussed in detail:(1) Classical mechanics according to Lagrange and Hamilton
(2) Electrodynamics
(3) Classical field theory and gauge theory
(4) Hydrodynamics
(5) Elastomechanics
(6) Quantum mechanics
